You simply connect the programming unit to the host machine, connect the power pack, insert the program media, start the program or reboot the machine (boots in less than 20 seconds).
• There is no software installation necessary unless you specifically choose to do so. When the program starts it will automatically locate the programming unit. When you end your work, shut down the program and disconnect the programming unit. The system leaves no residual files on the host computer. It does not write to the Windows registry or in anyway become entangled with the host operating system. This is true for all versions of Windows and is a unique feature of the EPROM+ system.

Andromeda Research Eprom Field Kit

(Model EFK-1)

• Specifically designed for service professionals who must program and erase UV eproms or microcontrollers in the field.
• The kit is based on the proven programming unit assembly used in the standard EPROM+. With the Eprom Field Kit, the programming assembly is installed in a nearly identical case with additional space in the top (lid). This additional space allows the Eprom Eraser (D_ERASE) to be stored inside the case, creating a complete service package. The eraser and case are fitted with a "snap-type" mount which firmly holds the eraser in place for travel. The eraser is powered from the programming unit accessory connector, eliminating the need to carry and store a separate power pack for the eraser. A special cable (which also stores in the lid) is provided to connect the eraser to the programming unit. The eraser operation will not affect the programming unit and both may be in use simultaneously.
• The Eprom Field Kit includes the EPROM+ software, manual, power pack, and cable. The kit also includes a separate power pack for the eraser which allows it to be used stand-alone if the programming unit is not needed.
